CIA meets secretly with the King of Saudi Arabia

SHAFAQNA (Shia News Association) —  Robert Tilford reporter in examiner.com wrote an article about the visit of CIA David to Saudi, he said : Saudi Press officials are reporting the Saudi King Abdullah and Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz each held separate meetings with U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director David Petraeus in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on July 9, 2012. The exact details of the meeting are unknown and press officials refused to say where they got the information from. Not otherwise unusual in Saud Arabia. Saudi officials said the meeting involved “matters of common concern”, whatever the hell that means?

The story was picked up apparently by Bloomberg, which also reported the incident. Confidential sources say the CIA was meeting the Saudi King to “share information.” Others say the CIA director is there to discuss a range of issues including covert operations and the continued funding and arming of terrorists and rebels in Syria via Turkey

It seem that Saudi officials are also preparing to pay the salaries of the Free Syria Army as a means of encouraging mass defections from the military and increasing pressure on the Assad regime. The influx of Saudi cash and weapons, some say, has breathed new life into the insurrection in northern Syria, which several weeks ago was on the verge of being crushed. It is part of the hidden politics of war.
