SHAFAQNA (Shia News Association) - The regime forces and their mercenaries have brutally suppressed tens of areas by using different kinds of weapons causing many injuries among peaceful pro-democracy protesters.The militarized forces have blocked many active roads and deployed heavily an imposed curfew on many villages and areas around Bahrain.
These brutal practices have been committed by the regime forces in response to the opposition societies' call to ten protests in ten places today under the title of "Friday of Challenge and Determination".
The suppression and punitive acts against several areas are still ongoing with a serious and unending escalation. The regime forces have arrested many citizens after raiding houses and attacking passersby without presenting any kind of arrest warrants.
Many citizens have been injured, including women and children. They have been targeted by lethal tear gases and birdshot pellets – an internationally prohibited weapon. Injured protesters are afraid to get medical treatment in hospitals. They believe that going there will subject them to arbitrary arrests and mistreatment. Thus, most of them prefer to get basic medical treatments in their homes.
