USA considers Iraq division the best way

Topics of the meeting between Iraqi political figures and US officials were declaration of independence in Al-Anbar, Mosul, Saladin, and Diyala provinces, said a diplomatic source at the meeting.

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) – The American officials had a meeting with Iraqi politicians in the US Embassy in Baghdad, and told them that the USA considers Iraq division is the best way. “Topics of the meeting between Iraqi political figures and US officials were declaration of independence in Al-Anbar, Mosul, Saladin, and Diyala provinces,” said a diplomatic source at the meeting. He also added that the declaration of Kirkuk as special zone was also discussed.

A member of Iraqi National Coalition attending the meeting confirmed topics such as the implementation of Joe Biden’s plan on dissection of Iraq was discussed. He also said that the White House was willing to allow the Iraqi Shias full independence for intimidating Arab countries of the Persian Gulf, since these countries feared that the plan of a Shia government in Iraq.

The political scene in Iraq has faced unrest due to foreign intervention and agitation of various tribes and groups and it is expected that they increase in the future to undermine the government of the Iraqi Prime Minister, Maleki. Maleki and his supporters who are the majority political group are against American interventions into Iraqi internal affairs. The Sunni Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq is also against the idea as they always stressed that the breakup of Iraq has always been a prime motive behind the US invasion.
