SHAFAQNA (Shia News Association) – A trusted source in Damascus, Syria reported that a terrorist armed group has assassinated Shia clergy Sayyed Abdul Quddous Jebara and has injured his sister near the shrine of Lady Zainab (A.S.). Several bullets were fired to his head which lead to his martyrdom. Sayyed Jebara’s brother was also injured in his head and is currently in critical condition.

It is important to mention that both Sayyed Jebara and his brother are well known Shia clergies.

Also, it is reported that Sayyed Jebara’s assassination was similar to that of late Sayyed Nasser Al-Alawi, former prayer leader of the Zainabya Seminary who was martyred nearly two months ago.

In addition, Sheikh Abbas Al-Lahham, prayer leader of Lady Ruqayya (A.S.) was also martyred in a similar way.
