Senior Shia cleric demands for peace, more Islamic unity

SHAFAQNA (Shia News Association)— A top Iranian cleric issued a message on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan expressing hope for peace and more unity among Muslim countries.

Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Abdul Karim Mousavi Ardebili, expressed hope that the holy month of Ramadan inspires heads of state in Muslim countries to boost unity and fraternity in a message issued on threshold of the fasting month for Muslims.

He referred to the month of Ramadan as the time to remember the historic victory of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in Battle of Badr (624 AD) and said, “I hope this month of blessing awakens us and motivates the Muslim nations, heads of states to maintain more unity and fraternity.”

This religious figure also demanded authorities in Muslim, maintaining the rights of the people and stop sedition and fighting each other and oppressing the nations.”—www.shafaqna.com/english
