Bomb blast kills 12 Shi'a Muslims on bus in NW Pakistan

SHAFAQNA (Shia News Association)— A roadside bomb hit a passenger bus in northwest Pakistan on Wednesday, killing at least 12 persons, officials said.

Officials said that it was a target attack and all those killed were Shi'a Muslims.

A police officer Arshad Khan said that the bus heading to Kohat city in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province from the nearby Upper Orakzai tribal region.

A roadside bomb exploded near the bus at Sipah, a small town at the edge of the tribal region.

Officials confirmed deaths of 12 people while driver of the bus was injured. He was taken to hospital.—www.shafaqna.com/english
