Dear brothers and sisters in Islam
Assalam Alaikum
We pray that by the blessing of Allah (swt) you have had a successful and rewarding month of Ramadhan.
Since there has been no reports in England or from those countries that share the same horizon, that the new crescent has been sighted on the Saturday 18th of August, and in line with the advice of astronomical observatories concerning the impossibility to view the new moon on the 18th, we confirm that Sunday 19th of August 2012 will by the thirtieth day of the month of Ramadhan.
Consequently the first day of Sawwal and Eid ul Fitr will be on Monday 20th August 2012.

Eid congregational prayer will be held at the Islamic Centre of England at 9:00am

The Zakat ul Fitr is £ 4.00 per person

We take here the opportunity to wish you and your family a Happy Eid
Wa salam
